Are there any restrictions on what I can sell?
Cruelty Free Festival welcomes all businesses and organisations who share our vision of a kinder world. Food, drink, wine, grocery, wholesale, professional services, cosmetics, personal care, fashion, accessories, jewellery, kids’ clothes, toys, home furnishings, books, DVDs, stationery, magazines – as long as what is sold, promoted or displayed on the day is 100% vegan and certified cruelty-free (i.e. contains no animal or animal-derived products and is not tested on animals).
Where appropriate, companies must be accredited as cruelty-free by Choose Cruelty Free Australia, or an overseas accreditation body such as PETA or Cruelty Free International.
As a green event, all stallholders’ packaging and tableware must be made from recycled/renewable materials and be biodegradable (eg. bamboo plates and cutlery). Excess packaging is the stallholder’s responsibility and MUST be taken away at the conclusion of the event.
Because of the the destructive effects released balloons have on animals and the environment, we have a STRICT NO BALLOONS policy.
We suggest that drinks vendors offer a discount to customers that BYO drinking receptacles (eg. reuseable coffee cups). Vendors who offer a discount will have special mention on our website. If you intend to offer a small discount, please make a note of this in your application form.
All stallholders selling food, drinks, alcohol, or packaged foods/grocery items must have a City of Sydney Temporary Food Permit.
Ready to eat food products are permitted, which can be prepared and sold on-site, or prepared and heated on-site. Electric and enclosed gas flame cooking is permitted (no open flame).
Wineries and boutique breweries are welcome; however, liquor service is restricted to sampling only.
Are dogs welcome?
YES! Dogs on leash are allowed at the venue. PLEASE be responsible and clean up after your friends. Water bowls and bags will be available, but we advise visitors to also bring their own water and bags for immediate clean ups as required.
How can I be further involved/contribute?
The CFF Raffle is a festival drawcard and a major highlight, drawn on the main stage!
Whether you are applying for a stall/sponsorship or not, you can donate a vegan cruelty-free prize (product or service), to support the cruelty free cause and also promote your business or organisation. Contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
N.B. Stallholders and Sponsors can advise of a raffle contribution via the Sponsors & Stallholders registration form.
All prizes and contributors will be listed on our website, promoted on the day of the event and via social media.
Will there be ATMs at the venue?
Not all stall holders will have EFTPOS / credit card facilities, so we recommend you bring cash on the day. Temporary ATMs will be provided by ATM2GO and will be located inside the venue. In past years, there were queues for the ATMs, so we recommend you bring cash with you. The nearby Lord Nelson hotel and the convenience store on the corner of Argyle and Kent street also have ATMs.
